The Last Best Solstice
Art on the River
About the Festival
The Last Best Solstice is now it's second year, and has grown considerably. It began in 2012 at the Missoula Winery. 12 artists came together and created art all day, which was then auctioned off by Mayor John Engen that night.
This year the celebration of art and artists moves to Caras Park, with more opportunities for community involvement. Just as before artists will be out in the open creating new works to be auctioned off that evening.
In addition to live music, food, beverages and the auction this year we'll be working with the Zootown Community Arts Center, The Clay Studio of Missoula and other artists to provide public workshops, so everyone can be involved in Art on the River.
